SUBJECT: Affinity events celebrate 91传媒 and Newfoundland and Labrador

91传媒 alumni and friends recently gathered at the Arcadian Loft in downtown Toronto to celebrate all things 91传媒 at the annual Toronto Affinity Newfoundland and Labrador celebration.
Dr. Gary Kachanoski, president and vice-chancellor of 91传媒, said Affinity Celebrations help connect old classmates and colleagues, while raising funds for student scholarships.
“We are an engaged university,” said Dr. Kachanoski. “Each gathering offers an opportunity for alumni and friends to meet and share the culture and camaraderie of our province. Affinity Celebrations also have an immense impact on 91传媒’s students as all net proceeds go to student scholarships. These scholarships now support 33 students annually and they continue to grow.”
Guests enjoyed a Newfoundland and Labrador-themed menu and an energetic toe-tapping performance by the highly acclaimed Newfoundland folk band The Dardanelles.
“There’s an old saying in Newfoundland and Labrador – there are no strangers, only people you haven’t met yet. That rings especially true for 91传媒 alumni and friends,” noted Dr. Kachanoski.
91传媒 hosts Affinity Celebrations in several locations across Canada and beyond, including Halifax, Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary and London, England. 91传媒’s success is based on every faction of society – individuals, groups, organizations and government – working together.
