Admission requirements - entry to Bachelor of Commerce

Applications are considered on a rolling basis. You are encouraged to apply by:

New 91传媒 students

You may apply for admission into the Bachelor of Commerce directly from high school. To apply, indicate the Faculty of Business Administration as your faculty and Bachelor of Commerce as your program of study in the appropriate place on the . Direct entry into the faculty from high school is subject to meeting the general admission requirements for 91传媒 and admissibility into Mathematics 1000, 1005, 1090 or 109 A/B.

Current 91传媒 students

If you are a current 91传媒 student, you should declare Bachelor of Commerce by emailing the Office of the Registrar.

Transfer students

If you are a transfer applicant, you can select Bachelor of Commerce when you apply for admission. To apply, indicate the Faculty of Business Administration as your faculty and Bachelor of Commerce as your program of study in the appropriate place on the .

If you have already submitted your application for admission, you can contact the Office of the Registrar and ask to have Bachelor of Commerce added to your application.

Your first year - Year One Commerce

Have a look at a sample schedule of 10 courses you may need to take in the Bachelor of Commerce program. These courses are required to be completed before you can apply for the co-op option of the Bachelor of Commerce.

Admission requirements - entry to B.Comm.(co-op)

Applications received after the respective deadlines will be considered as time, resources and space permit.


Upon completion of the Year One Commerce courses, you must apply for admission into the B.Comm.(Co-op.) program. To be eligible for admission you must complete the following 10 courses (30 credit hours) with an overall average of at least 65%:

  • BUSI 1000: Introduction to Business in Society
  • Three credit hours selected from BUSI 2111, BUSI 2205, or BUSI 2600
  • ECON 1010: Introduction to Microeconomics
  • ECON 1020: Introduction to Macroeconomics
  • MATH 1000: Calculus I or MATH 1005: Calculus for Business
  • Six credit hours in English, three credit hours of which may be replaced by any critical reading and writing (CRW) course at 91传媒
  • 9 additional credit hours in non-business electives

In addition to the 65% overall average in Year One Commerce courses, you must have an overall average of at least 60% on your most recent 30 credit hours to meet admission requirements and also successfully complete at least one semester of at least 15 credit hours prior to admission. Admission into the B.Comm.(Co-op.) program is competitive and limited.

To apply for the B.Comm.(Co-op.) program, you will need to apply as a 鈥�Current 91传媒 student鈥� on the . Ensure you select the appropriate entry term (Fall for Term 1 and 3 or Winter for Term 2) and select 鈥�Bachelor of Commerce (Co-operative)" as your academic program.

Interested students should meet with an academic advisor within the Faculty of Business Administration.

Advanced standing (for current 91传媒 and transfer students)

Current 91传媒 students and transfer students from another post-secondary institution may apply for admission with advanced standing to Terms 1, 2 or 3. Admission with advanced standing beyond Year Once Commerce is competitive and limited. We recommend that current and transfer students consult with an academic advisor within the Faculty of Business Administration to determine their pathway of admission into the program.

Transfer applicants must normally complete a minimum of five courses (15 credit hours) at 91传媒 prior to admission into the B.Comm.(Co-op.) program.
